*A note on "friending". I generally don't really "friend" back people I don't know. Don't feel bad. I very rarely lock any of my posts and I allow comments from people I haven't return friended. The reason I don't return friends is that on occasion, I do post very personal things that I'm not comfortable sharing with people I don't know. Thanks for your understanding.

I'm a 36 year old married mother of two gorgeous daughters. I am a college student majoring in Secondary Education with a focus on prison and urban education. I have an A.A. in Education and an A.A. in Liberal Arts. I graduated both degrees as Summa Cum Laude with a perfect academic record. I am currently a student at Cedar Crest College in Allentown to finish the Bachelor's. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Psi Beta, and a charter member of Kappa Delta Pi.

I enjoy Frank Herbert, Tolkien, and many other literary innovators. I also enjoy Victorian/Early Edwardian books (both written about and written in). I am a rather happy book collector. I love to read, sew, write short stories and non-fiction, throw parties for friends and family, and I love movies. Halloween and Tim Burton are my drugs. My husband, daughter and I are all really into tattoos as well. Nothing brings a family closer together than sitting together while one gets inked.

My husband is awesome and really hot. He's a beekeeper, mead maker, woodworker, registered nurse, and an all around handy guy. He also firespins, smokes stogies, and runs the entire nursing department of a 300+ bed nursing home. He is good at almost everything he touches. No, you can't have him. I love him with all my heart and soul. We have two beautiful daughters who I love even more than him. I am the luckiest woman in the whole world.

I am a pretty rabid Philadelphia Eagles fan. It's a very good thing that my husband is also an Eagles fan and was born in Philly. I don't know what we'd do if he liked another team. I love Da Birds when they fly. I love Da Birds when they suck. I hate The Dallas Cowboys because it is my responsibility to do so and being from the Philadelphia area, my parents raised me properly. Nothing thrills me more than seeing Tony Romo and T.O. (no matter what team he plays with) fail epically on the field. I follow the New Orleans Saints as best I can but it's hard when we're in a different division. I don't get to see many games. I also like the Bengals because my best friend is from Cinci and I HATE, yes, I HATE the Pittsburgh Steelers. I am into Sports Masochism. It takes a good deal of heart to love teams that consistently raise you up to the very edge of ecstasy and then drop you violently into the pit of despair (please make note of the years: 1980 and 2004. The years 1988, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, and 2008 are also submitted for your consideration). And it makes their victories all the more satisfying when they don't suck. Incidentally, The Curse of Billy Penn has been broken by the Phantastic Phillies. It's only a matter of time before The Eagles break through...and I'll be there because I always knew they could do it. Oh, and incidentally, I have vowed to get a Swoop tattoo when they win the Superbowl. My artist knows I'm serious too.

My husband is Asatru Freysman. I'm a Hellenic Pagan who is oathed to Hera. I also worship and honor my husband's gods; especially Frigga who I hold in the highest esteem almost equal to Hera. My 17 year old daughter is a Greek oriented goddess worshiper and my 5 year old daughter is being raised Asatru.
